Composer Margaret Brouwer’s music has earned singular praise for its lyricism, musical imagery, and emotional power. The highlight of Ms. Brouwer's 2017 season is the premiere of her environmentally-themed oratorio, Voice of the Lake. This work focuses on  the struggle between the recreational and natural joys of Lake Erie and the commercial, agricultural and political issues that threaten its ecological health.

The world premiere of Voice of the Lake takes place on November 12, 2017, 3:00 pm, at the Breen Center for the Performing Arts in Cleveland, OH.
